Winners decided at Senior Students AEGON Team Tennis Finals

The winning teams have been crowned at the AEGON Team Tennis Schools Senior Students Finals 2010/11 in the Boys, Girls and Mixed events.

The competition is unique as it is only open to players in years 11, 12 or 13 at schools and further education colleges with a British Tennis rating no better than 7.1.

Over 250 teams entered the competition in September and the final eight teams in each event competed at Bolton Arena over 18th-20th March. In the boys' event, Peter Symonds College overcame their local rivals Queen Mary’s College in a match up of the No. 1 & 2 seeds.

The two Hampshire teams were closely matched throughout the final and it took a match deciding shoot out tie-break to separate the two teams. A very consistent Peter Symonds pairing claimed the shootout win 10-8 to take home the title and 25 ranking points for the AEGON Team Tennis Schools National Rankings.
