Schools inspired with trip to Wimbledon

The Tennis Foundation is aiming to inspire young people to take up tennis by offering them the opportunity to experience The Championships, Wimbledon.

Through the Schools Tennis Members Wimbledon Ballot, the Tennis Foundation distributes over 6,000 tickets to The Championships each year to school groups.

Schools Tennis Membership is aimed at schools to join for an annual fee and entry to the Wimbledon Ticket Ballot is just one of the many benefits available. Find out more about Schools Tennis Membership here.

For the first time, Universities and Further Education Colleges that have made a commitment to delivering tennis with the Tennis Foundation's support, have been selected to receive discounted tickets as well.

Tom Gibbins, Head of Education at The Tennis Foundation said: "We are thankful to the All England Lawn Tennis Club's support in providing these show court tickets at a discounted rate, ensuring The Championships are accessible, and an inspiration to thousands of young people from across Great Britain to pick up a racket this summer."

In partnership with the LTA, the Tennis Foundation, through AEGON Schools Tennis has supported teachers with free training, resources and equipment to help them deliver tennis in schools. In addition, there are innovative packages of support to develop tennis further in further education colleges and universities.
