Great Britain won the BNP Paribas World Team Cup title on Friday’s fifth day of play in Antalya, Turkey after Alfie Hewett and Lauren Jones combined to beat Spain 2-1 in thrilling circumstances, cheered on by their team mate Luz Esperanza Merry and team Captain Ash Smith.

World No. 6 Gordon Reid completed the perfect preparation for leading the Great Britain's team in the men's World Group at the BNP Paribas World Team Cup in Turkey in the coming week when he beat world No. 2 Stephane Houdet of France 3.6, 6-3, 6-1 in Sunday's men's singles final in Rome.
