Queenswood and Reed’s Schools compete in World Schools Tennis Championships

Queenswood and Reed's schools are to represent England in the World Schools Tennis Championships, an International Schools Federation event, which takes place from Saturday 13th to Saturday 20th April 2013 in Albury-Wodonga, Australia – around three hours north of Melbourne.

Both teams, who qualified as a result of winning the Aegon Team Tennis Schools National Championships in July 2012, stand a strong chance at the competition with Reed's participating as the boys' reigning champions, following their win at the previous ISF Tennis Event in France in 2011.

Paul Williams, Schools Tennis Manager for the Tennis Foundation said: "We wish Queenswood and Reed's all the very best as they compete in The World Schools Tennis Championships and congratulate them on qualifying to get to this stage. I'm sure it will be a fantastic and memorable experience for all the young people involved."

Reed's School from Surrey, who are competing in boys' event and in the same part of the draw as France and Qatar, will be represented by Jamie Malik, Josef Dodridge, Shamael Chaudhry, Lucas Taylor and Will Maslen.

Queenswood School from Hertfordshire, who are competing in the girls' event, will be represented by Corinne Blythe, Chloe Lant, Molly Reed, Rebecca Smaller and Katarina Weymouth, and face China, Australia and Singapore.
