Shuker to face world No.1 van Koot at French Open

World No.5 Lucy Shuker will face Dutch world No.1 Aniek van Koot in the quarter-finals after the draw was made on Tuesday for the Roland Garros wheelchair tennis event.

After reaching the women's singles semi-finals at her first Roland Garros in 2007, British No.1 Shuker will begin her fourth campaign on the clay in Paris against van Koot, the runner-up at Roland Garros in 2012, who won her first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open in January.

Shuker partners Dutchwoman Marjolein Buis in the women's doubles and the Australian Open runners-up and second seeds will play Germany's Sabine Ellerbrock and Sharon Walraven of the Netherlands for a place in what would be their second successive Grand Slam women's doubles final together.

Meanwhile, British No. 1 and world No. 6 Gordon Reid will face world No. 9 Michael Jeremiasz of France in his first ever singles match at a Grand Slam event on Wednesday

Reid partners Dutchman Ronald Vink, a former doubles champion, in the men's doubles, with the duo set to face Argentina's Gustavo Fernandez and Stefan Olsson of Sweden in their semi-final.
