Louise Hunt brought two highly successful weeks in Poland and the Czech Republic to an end by winning the Czech Open women's doubles title and finishing runner-up in the women's singles on the last day of play in Prostejov.
Hunt and Germany's Katharina Kruger justified their top seeding for the women's doubles when they beat Russian seconds seeds Ludmila Bubnova and Viktoriia Lvova 6-1, 6-3 in the fnial.
Earlier in the day Hunt narrowly missed out securing her second singles title ni successive weeks when she was edged out in her first final of the day by Dutch second seed Michaela Spaanstra. Spaanstra retained her Czech Open title 6-4 3-6, 6-3.

Louise Hunt claimed her second victory in a week over world No.8 Katharina Kruger to reach her second successive women’s singles final and later partnered Kruger to also reach the doubles final in Prostejov.
Third seed Hunt produced arguably her best performance to date to beat Kruger 6-3 6-0, following up her three set victory over the top seed in the final of the Polish Open.
Hunt, who has reached a career best singles ranking of No.15 this week after winning the Polish Open, will now face the player she beat in the semi-finals in Poland, Dutch second seed Michaela Spaanstra, as she bids for back-to-back ITF 2 titles.
Hunt and Kruger beat Australia’s Sarah Calati and Spaanstra 6-3, 6-3 in their doubles semi-final and play Russian second seeds Ludmila Bubnova and Viktoriia Lvova in the final.

Louise Hunt faces Germany’s world No. 8 Katharina Kruger for the second successive week after winning her first two matches in the Czech Republic in straight sets. Hunt and Kruger are also into the women’s doubles semi-finals.
A 6-0, 6-2 win over the Czech Republic’s Ladislava Porizkova and a 6-3, 7-6(5) victory over Russian sixth seed Ludmila Bubnova means that thirds seed Hunt now faces a rematch of her Polish Open final against top seed Kruger as she bids to follow up her first career victory over a top 10 ranked opponent last week.
Hunt and Kruger, top seeds for the women’s doubles, play Australia’s Sarah Calati and Dutchwoman Michaela Spaanstra for a place in the final after the 2014 Doubles Masters finalists opened their account with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Diede de Groot of the Netherlands and Pauline Helouin of France.
Luz Esperanza Merry made a bold attempt at upsetting eight seed Helouin in her opening singles match before the Frenchwoman edged through 6-2 3-6 7-5. Merry also went to three sets in her first round consolation match against Austria’s Margrit Fink, but Fink advanced 4-6, 7-5, 6-4. Merry and Australia’s Janel Manns also went out of the women’s doubles in the first round, after slipping to a 6-2, 6-3 loss to Russian second seeds Bubnova and Viktoriia Lvova.
Richard Green took top seed Dorrie-Timmermans van-Hall to a deciding set on the second day of the quad singles. After beating Sebastien Jance of France 6-1, 3-6, 6-1, Green took the opening set of his quarter-final against Timmermans=van Hall before the Dutch player sealed a 3-6, 6-2, 6-0 win. Green and Austria’s Peter Tatschl also split the first two sets in their first round quad doubles contest against French duo Thomas Huguenin and Jance, but Huguenin and Jance won the deciding match tie-break to prevail 7-5, 2-6, (10-8).
