Andy Murray moved into the third round of the French Open after defeating Australian Marinko Matosevic 6-3, 6-1, 6-3.
In one hour 54 minutes the British No.1 dispatched Australian No.2 Matosevic, who had reached the second round of a grand slam for the first time at the 13th attempt, to set up a third round meeting with German No.28 seed Philipp Kohlschreiber.
Heather Watson reached the second round of the French Open before falling to No.4 seed Simona Halep 6-2, 6-4.
Doubles
Dom Inglot & Treat Huey (PHI) moved into the second round of the men's doubles after a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 victory over Colombian pair Giraldo & Gonzalez.
In the mixed doubles Colin Fleming & Rodionova (Aus) fell in the first round 3-6, 6-3, 10-8 to Kops-Jones (USA) & Klaasen (RSA).
