James Ward has reached the third and final round of French Open qualifying as he defeated American Ryan Harrison in two close tie-break sets.
World No.173 Ward, beat the former top 50 player 7-6(5), 7-6(4) to set up a final round meeting with Blaz Rola (SLO).
Heather Watson got her French Open campaign under way with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over American Irina Falconi to move into the second round of qualifying. The British No.2 now meets Ukraine's Kateryna Kozlova.
Johanna Konta, battled to a 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 victory over Poland's Paula Kania and will face Ukraine's Yuliya Beygelzimer, ranked 59 places below her, for a place in the main draw.
Meanwhile Dan Cox is set to play qualifying top seed Paolo Lorenzi of Italy in his second round match.
