Kirsten Flipkens has been announced as the top seed on Saturday at the Aegon Classic draw in Edgbaston, Birmingham.
The Belgian world No.21 will play either 2012 defending Champion Melanie Oudin or a qualifier in round two, having received a bye.
The top eight seeds receive a bye into the second round including British No.1 Laura Robson who is seeded seventh.
Heather Watson is up against Melinda Czink from Hungary, while both Anne Keothavong and wild card Johanna Konta play a qualifier, with qualifying beginning at 11am on Saturday 8 June.
Watson will warm up for her first round match with an exhibition match on Sunday, alongside Tim Henman, Greg Rusedski and Aegon Classic third seed Sorana Cirstea, as part of the Grand Opening of the tournament’s new centre court.
Wild card entries Tara Moore and Melanie South play twelfth seed Kristina Mladenovic of France and sixteenth seed Magdalena Rybarikova of Slovakia respectively.
The Aegon Classic is the first WTA Tour grass court tournament of the season.
