Andrew Fitzpatrick and Matthew Short have been knocked out of the singles and doubles in Portugal. In the opening round Fitzpatrick took on Julien Obry of France but was defeated 7-6(5), 6-2, while Short played seventh seeded Belgian Germain Gigounon but was beaten 6-1, 6-2.
