Dan Cox is through to the second round of the men's singles in America after a 7-6(3), 7-5 win over Nicolas Kauer (CHO). Cox plays Ji Sung Nam (KOR) next. Joshua Milton was also in action but was defeated 6-3, 6-3 by American wild card Jean-Yves Aubone.
