Jamie Murray & John Peers miss out in five sets
It was not to be for Jamie Murray & John Peers as they were defeated in five sets in Tuesday’s men’s doubles third round at Wimbledon.
In a rematch of June’s Aegon Championships final, Murray and Australian partner Peers went down to No.2 seeds Alexander Peya & Bruno Soares 6-3, 6-7, 7-6, 3-6, 6-3 on Court 18.
Mixed doubles
Naomi Broady & Neal Skupski staged an impressive comeback in a rain delayed match that spanned over two days.
The British duo came back from a set down in their second round mixed doubles match on Tuesdy to beat David Marrero & Arantxa Parra-Santonja 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 to move into the third round.
Meanwhile Dominic Inglot & Johanna Konta’s Wimbledon mixed doubles campaign came to an end on Tuesday at SW19.
The British duo were defeated by second seeds Bob Bryan & Kveta Peschke 7-6(6), 6-3 on Court 12.
Colin Fleming & Jocelyn Rae were also in action falling to Rohan Bopanna & Andrea Hlavackova 6-4, 7-5 in round two.
