Essential requirements for this role are:-
- Applicant should be available from 23/04/14
- LTA licenced at least level 3
- Experienced coach who can provide a schools tennis programme and club programme
- All documents up to date – first aid, DBS and coach licence
- Applicant should be able to deliver group, individual and also work in a team environment.
Charters Tennis delivers an inclusive tennis programme at Charters Sports College and at a community park site near Ascot, Berkshire. The park, managed by Charters Tennis, has Club mark and Beacon status. There are approximately 600 registered users of the courts which also have an extensive junior programme with over 200 players attending every day of the week.
The park has 3 courts that have recently been resurfaced and floodlit. At Charters School there are a further 7 floodlit courts, a sports hall and a fully equipped fitness suite.
We require a fully licensed coach who is highly motivated, enthusiastic, very reliable and qualified to a minimum of Level 3 qualification (or DCA). The demands of working at Charters Tennis require a high level of professionalism and commitment to the club/school programme. A car and full driving licence is essential.
We require a head coach who can deliver a tennis programme in the curriculum, extra-curricular activities and a club programme. The suitable candidate must be able to liaise with Charters Tennis who will provide full administrative support.
The position would be on a self-employed basis with the requirement to work a minimum of 20 hours per week with the potential to increase this with individual lessons and being able to grow the present programme.
