Well Done to Ash Smith who won the Coach of the Year at the BIPAwards!
As a Great Britain Wheelchair Tennis Coach, some of Ash's biggest successes were to coach Alfie Hewitt to his second consecutive World Junior Masters title and to coach and captain the Gold medal winning Great Britain Junior World Team Cup winning team.
Ash has a National Coach role with the Tennis Foundation . He has been coaching tennis for 18 years, working specifically in wheelchair tennis for the last two and a half, achieving National and International recognition. He has a real passion for the game that is infectious and a dedication to help his players.
As well as Ash Smith, there was also a nominations for Carl Emmerson-Dam who recently formed Charvil Community Tennis Club, however didn't make the final shortlist
