Following some closely fought and high quality Tennis Harrison Ridge from Wargrave LTC and Alisha Reayer from Greenacre emerged as winners of the first ever Carole Dunningham 10 & Under Event for players throughout Berkshire.
The Boys Final provided real drama and some great Tennis with Harrison eventually defeating Matthew Cameron, from Latika JTC, 4-2, 2-4, 10-5. Alisha managed a slightly easier passage, despite a great effort from Megan Forth, Wellington, running out a 4-1, 4-0 winner.
The Tournament was being played in memory of Carole Dunningham, who for many years represented Berkshire's Tennis Teams with great distinction. John Dunningham provided the players with the opportunity to win a day out for themselves, and their parents, at the world famous All England Club. Weather permittng, they may also get a chance to try out their skills on the famous grass courts.
