After 37+ matches, and Wimbledon-like weather, 21 year old Marius Biedka emerged victorious to claim the 27th Bracknell Open and walk away with the beautiful silver cup with its golden lining. Marius battled with young Rahul Mirchandani, originally from Dubai and a talent on the rise. So the youngsters continue to rule the roost, following 18 year old James Blane’s win in the May 2011 final – and Marius before that in 2010.
Once again we saw youth overcome experience and all will agree it was a fantastic 9 day tournament (5-13th May) capped by a compelling Main Draw final.
