Following impressive performances in a recent Tournament in Italy Berkshire's Macus Willis is raising both his Ranking and his profile and is looking to take advantage of any spaces that may be created in future Davis Cup squads.
As the seventh seed Marcus won three matches in straight sets on his way to the semi-final. He was eventually narrowly beaten by J. Pospisil of Canada 7/6, 2/6, 6/4 with who he later teamed up with in the Doubles Event to reach the Final.
Following the much publicised call for young blood to come through into the Davis Cup Team, Marcus is looking to progress further and become the first Berkshire Davis Cup representative since Jamie Delgado in 2006.
