The second edition of the revived Berkshire Challenge Cup took place in the first week of August ,on a sweltering hot day finalists George Elawure and 2015 champion James McKinnon played a very competitive three sets with James winning 6-1, 4-6, 6-1.
Many spectators and supporters enjoyed the match and later barbecue.
There was also a consolation final for first round losers Sam Wallen-Russell and Paul O’Mahony.
The tournament looks well established with an entry of 30 men with a wide spread of ratings from clubs all over Berkshire. Congratulations to organiser Andy Speight for a successful tournament and appreciation for the generosity of Bracknell Lawn Tennis Club in hosting the tournament on their floodlit courts
