Winner revealed at LTA Cheshire Awards

Over 250 people were in attendance for the 2013 Cheshire LTA Presentation Evening, which took place at the Mere Golf and Country Club on 15th October 2013.

This annual event was a celebration of the successes of tennis clubs, teams, players, coaches and volunteers across the county over the past twelve months and was a good chance for everybody involved in tennis in Cheshire to meet.

There were official awards presented during the evening with the winners being the following;

Performance Coach:  James Turner

Development Coach: Mark Airey

Performance Player: Samantha Murray

Team of the Year: Over 75s Men’s Team

School/College of the Year: Worth Primary School

Fair Play Award: Harry Doyle

Young Volunteer:  Ted Harris and Tom Nicholas

Club of the Year: Bramhall Lane

Honorary County Colours: Barry Oswald

Dick Fontes Trophy: Sean Sivewright

Ann Rex Bursaries:Eve Daniels, Hannah McColgan, Lewis Denton, Jordan Grocott, Sam Reeve

Unsung Heroes: Simon Piggott

Lifetime Achievement: John Hoffmann
