Myles Minchin had a day to remember on Saturday as he followed in the footsteps of Andy Murray and played at Wimbledon.
Myles was one of four players, as part of the LTA North of England 10 U mini tennis squad, to play in a demonstration at Wimbledon .
The day started with a practice session at the NTC followed by a tour of Wimbledon and then coaching and match play on Court 5 in front of spectators. Afterwards the squad were able to enjoy a day at Wimbledon which included access to many of the courts to watch matches and meeting players past and present in the players area. Myles’ mum Caroline was delighted, saying “All of the players were extremely welcoming and in a relaxed and friendly environment. The whole experience was a day the young players will never forget.”
