It has been decided to launch a small loan scheme for clubs in Cheshire, using the Balance Sheet Reserves built up by the County over many years.
Inevitably, funds will be limited, but the intention is that it should be a no frills scheme, with a straight forward application process and be simple to administer for both parties.
The key features are:
- Maximum loan £10,000, minimum £2,000.
- Interest free.
- Repayments by 5 equal instalments annually, the first repayment being on 30th April in the year following the grant of the loan.
- The application will be for a specific project at a club registered to CCLTA.
Application Procedure
Application forms will be issued on request from the County Office and should be submitted before a quarter end (31st March, 30th June, 30th Sept. or 31st Dec.).
Appraisal Procedure
a) Applications will be reviewed in the month following each quarter end.
b) A panel of three Council members will review the application.
c) The panel will be advised by the TDM on the suitability of the project based on:
- Tennis Payback
- Financial viability of the whole scheme, and
- The ability of the applicant to meet the payback terms
