2016 got off to a fantastic start with 2 Cheshire players asked to represent Great Britain in the Tennis Europe Winter Cups by HEAD.
Hannah McColgan will play for the U16 Girls team in the Netherlands and Sam Reeve will play for the U12 Boys team in the Czech Republic. Both players are delighted to have been selected and excited to play in one of the premier indoor junior team competitions. The event is in two stages with the winner and runner-up of the four qualifying groups proceeding to the final rounds in the Czech Republic a fortnight later.
It is even more a coincidence that both players are members of the same club, Bramhall Lane LTC in Stockport! Liz Sweeting, LTA Councillor for Cheshire and member of the club said “This is brilliant news for the players and for the club and we’re sending Hannah and Sam our very best wishes”.
