The Cheshire doubles have now taken place with over 100 woman and 50 men taking part. As the event was originally set up to respond to the shortage of women and girls playing regular tennis, these figures were very encouraging. Many of those who took part had never participated in an organised competition before but some have now been spurred on to enter further events at their clubs and within the wider County.
The finals will be held on 14th October at David Lloyd Cheshire Oaks with a presentation evening for the top 16 men and women on 20th November, at the CCLTA Presentation Evening at The Pavilion, Chester Racecourse.
