Matt Trudgeon flew to Germany on Thursday 14 May to prepare for 2 league matches representing TC Steinbach. Matt will be playing for the club's first team in 2 league matches which are played along the lines of the AEGON National Club League in Britain.
Heron Tennis Centre has developed a link with TC Steinbach since players from the Ace Academy were taken to practice and compete in junior events last year. This was a great opportunity for players to experience the clay and there are plans afoot to repeat the trip this coming summer.
Matt is due to return over the back holiday weekend just in time for the Heron Spring Bank Holiday tournament which for the first time in it’s history will be a grade 3 event. The event has attracted over 160 competitors from across the Country to offer some stiff opposition for the locals. Play starts on Monday 25 May 2009.
