Sunny weather blessed Penzance Tennis club for its Tennis Fun day and contributed to an excellent turn out. More than 60 youngsters attended the day and there were games and competitions and lots of fun prizes. Martin Coates the newly appointed Tennis Manager said ‘The event was a great success with all the children having a fun time and this was a great start to attract new juniors to tennis and a big thank you to everyone that supported the event on the day.’
With such a good turn out on the fun day this welcomed many new faces to the holiday camps this week for mini tennis and junior tennis.
As part of Martins new Role he is setting up Free taster sessions, information evenings, specific coaching sessions for adults and juniors and increased links with local schools . He is also planning to set up a performance academy for talented players and foster the relationship with the Cornish Lawn Tennis Association.
