Chatsworth Tennis Club’s Archie Agnew produced another great display of Tennis as he came out on top of the Moorclose Sports Centre leg of the West Cumbria Mini Red (under 8) Tour. The Ashfield Tennis Club and Cumbria Community Foundation funded competition has certainly seen some fantastic Tennis over the winter and the improvement in overall play has been incredible and Moorclose was witness to that as many matches went the distance with the outcome in doubt until the very last ball was hit.
With players from Carlisle, Penrith and West Cumbria all vying for competition leaderboard points it came down to Archie up against Penrith’s impressive Jake Preston in the final and after a fine match Archie’s experience paid off and he came out on top 10-6.
