In the ladies semi finals Ivybridge beat Cranford 4-0 whilst Exeter Golf and Country Club defeated Westward Ho! 3-1.
In the Men’s semi finals Cranford beat Westward Ho! on a countback of games (41-38) whilst Tavistock beat Nomads 3-1.
The finals were played in the afternoon. In the ladies event a strong Ivybridge team beat Exeter Golf and Country Club.
In a close and exciting men's final, Tavistock eventually took the title away from Cranford on a countback of games (38-33). This was Tavistock's first time in the competition and this triumph follows on from last year's success when they won the Plymouth and District League for the first time.
David Vinall (referee) said, "It was lovely to see two family partnerships on court with Robert Leck partnering his dad for Nomads at the age of 12 and Josh Brown partnering his step-dad for Tavistock. It was also nice to see representatives of Devon County’s juniors, seniors and veterans on court together for the final. A great day's tennis was had by all, thanks in part to the hospitality we received from this year's venue, the South Devon Tennis Centre."
