The Ladies County Over 60 team played Surrey at home on 17th July. Ann Louis and Linda Knight both played singles and won their matches. Josa Ness and Anne Tait lost to Surrey's number one doubles pair as did Ann Louis and Linda Knight. Josa and Anne narrowly lost to the number two doubles pair in a final set tie break 8.10. Surrey won the match 3.2.
Captain Ann Louis commented,”This was our last match of the season and although I am sure we will be relegated at the end of the year I think everyone has enjoyed the experience of playing in Group 1 and playing some singles matches. We were in a very tough group as both Surrey and Warwickshire have G.B. players who were in the team that won the World Championships in Perth last year.”
