Following on from great successes in the Vets Inter County Competitions this summer, Kate Brown, Jo Louis and Sue Wiltshire carried their good form on to the British Closed Seniors' Grass Court Championships. Played on the grass courts of Aorangi Park at Wimbledon, this tournament is the high spot of the summer for many senior players.
Jo Louis won the 0ver 45 ladies beating number 1 seed Clare Wood 6-3 6-3. She teamed up with Sue Wiltshire in the Over 35 doubles, making the final but losing to the number 1 seeds.
Kate Brown reached the final of the Over 35s singles coming up a little short against number 1 seed Kerry Pollard, losing 6-7 2-6. She paired with Somerset's Kerry Quirk in the over 35s doubles reaching the quarter finals.
