Flybe

TEAM Flybe, with Torquay’s Roo Woodleigh-Smith looking forward to hosting their first home match at her own club, are up for the Welsh Dragon’s challenge.  The other team members; Samuel Hopper (Ivybridge), Jake Upsher (Exeter), Beth Cooper (Teignmouth) and with the Cornish bringing the force of Janner Bindiren (Levertonwilliams), Will Daniell (Truro), Oscar Pringle (Truro), Daniel Hocking (Levertonwilliams) and the girls Aimee Polyblank (Penzance) and Niamh Snell (Levertonwilliams) are all just as keen. Unfortunately Freddie Stone (Penzance) is unable to participate due to injury.

TEAM Flybe will face the challenge from a strong welsh contingent of players who are at the top of the game regionally and nationally. The plan is for players to train together pushing each other’s work ethic and to then compete on Saturday afternoon continuing on Sunday morning.

Ellie Lewis, Talent Performance Co-ordinater for South Wales, is looking forward to some great tennis this weekend. The chance to take a team away and compete on a new surface with different players is a great experience for those who normally face competition individually and only supported by their parents.

Lucie Ahl and Debbie Hale will be supporting TEAM Flybe which hopefully will lead to another victory….

TEAM Flybe is a great opportunity provided by Devon and Cornwall LTAs and Flybe whose aim is to support the counties’ strongest players, committed to competing within their county but also those competing more regionally at the highest level.
