This year's County Finals were held at the new David LLoyd Centre in Exeter on the 2nd and 3rd of July. Players from Cary Park TC, Exeter Tennis Centre, Hill Lane TC, Ivybridge TC, Plympton TC, Seaton TC, Sidmouth TC, Tarka Tennis Centre, Torquay LTC and Westward Ho! TC came together to compete for the prestigious prize of the chance to play and compete at Wimbledon.
The delighted winners, Lucy Gill and Erik Wilson will now attend the national finals on the 15th to 20th August.
The HSBC Road to Wimbledon 14 & Under National Challenge is an annual event held by the Lawn Tennis Association. Clubs and schools all over the country are invited to run club competitions and the winners qualify to play in County finals from which the winning boy and girl from each county travels to the prestigious All England Tennis Club in Wimbledon in August to play against other county winners in order to find a national champion.
