Judy will be on hand as part of her role with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), which sees her combining the captaincy of the AEGON GB Fed Cup Team with a separate focus on helping to mentor and develop female tennis coaches around the country.
The event, run by the Cornwall and Devon LTA, is a celebration of girls and ladies in tennis and highlights the diverse opportunities to get playing the sport in the counties.
Judy made a triumphant start to life in charge of Great Britain’s Fed Cup Team leading the girls to the World Group II Play-offs which will take place next month in Sweden.
Georgina Loosemore, LTA Tennis Development Manager for Devon and Cornwall, said: “We are very much looking forward to the next Flybe Girls Tennis Roadshow in Newquay and we are excited to welcome Judy Murray to the county.
“Judy will be delivering the event alongside the female coaches offering top tips from her wealth of experience working with the top female players in the country as Fed Cup captain.
“We also have Lucie Ahl, former GB No.1 at the roadshow so it promises to be a top class event.”
Flybe have supported Cornwall and Devon LTA for the last four years, a partnership which has enabled many more people across the county to play tennis. Flybe Girls is a new initiative with the aim to get more females on court.
Simon Lilley, Director of Marketing at Flybe, said: “Flybe is delighted to be working with the Devon & Cornwall LTA on such an exciting scheme and for Judy Murray to attend the roadshow is the icing on the cake.
“We are determined to get more young female players interested in tennis throughout the South West and with Judy's input are sure this event will be a great success.”
