This year's Senior County Closed Championships, hosted by Torquay Tennis Centre, drew to a close on Bank Holiday Monday 07 May with new County Champions receiving their trophies form Devon LTA President, Sir Simon Day.
Jack Findel-Hawkins retained his men's singles title defeating fellow Exeter Tennis Centre player Howard Scott 6-2, 6-3. Kendal Brown similarly retained her ladies singles title overcoming strong opposition from 15 year old Emma Hurst, 7-5, 6-4.
Players enjoyed playing on the club's new artificial clay courts and Torquay Tennis Club provided it's usual great atmosphere, even the weather behaved with hardly a break for rain!
