The LTA attended The South West Children in Need Event at Plymouth Life Centre on Friday 14th November.
During the day 400 children came along from local schools for tennis games and activities. This was a high energy level session with children doing cardio tennis, rallying and games. The sessions were delivered by local coaches and sports leaders from Stoke Dameral Community College.
In the evening over 3000 people visited The Life Centre to be part of and raise funds for Children in Need. During the evening people had chance to try tennis or take part in one of our fun games.
Georgina Loosemore, LTA Tennis Participation Manager said “It was a fantastic day and many people played tennis, many for the first time. In the evening we saw families playing together and scout groups partaking in some team games.”
There was a free prize draw to win an Andy Murray shirt and many other tennis prizes to be won.
