Emily, who trains at teignmouth Tennis Club based at Trinity school, had a very worthwhile journey to Bolton at the weekend where her dogged performance brought about her first grade 2 win.
Emily qualified through from the round boxes and defeated Anabel Davis and Sophia Underwood in the knockout stages only to find herself in the final up against Jessica Dawson to whom she had lost in her box 4-7, 14-16. Gritty determination was needed and Emily delivered, finally securing her victory 5-7, 7-5, 7-5.
