Meet the members of the Dorset LTA Executive Committee.
Richard Henshaw
Richard is a keen and active tennis player. He currently plays at Southbourne where he has been a member for over 15 years. Previously he has played and been an active volunteer in Somerset, Berkshire and Shropshire.
He has been a volunteer for the County since the year 2000, having acted as Hon. Secretary, Chairman and LTA Councillor.
Richard lives in Christchurch and works as a Town and Country Planner.
Kevin Croydon
Kevin has played tennis, and participated in the administration of the sport, for almost 50 years. He has previously been active in tennis in Sussex, Surrey and Hertfordshire and, for the last 25 years, in Dorset.
His local clubs have been Victoria Avenue, where he was treasurer for 17 years and, currently, West Hants. Kevin has been County Treasurer since 2002 and has represented Dorset in veterans’ tennis.
Kevin lives in Poole and is a retired professional accountant.
Karen Adams
Karen has been a County Tennis player for Dorset since 1979 representing at all age groups including over 20 years for the ladies county team. She has been a member at East Dorset for 32 years and a member of West Hants for 11 years.
She assumed the role as Ladies County Captain in 1997 and as a result serves on the Council and since 2011 been part of the Dorset Executive Committee.
She belongs to East Dorset and West Hants
Karen Lives in Poole and is currently a Station Manager in Dorset Fire and Rescue Service.
Eric Dry
Eric started playing tennis in Middlesex and represented Herga Club, Harrow in Middlesex Cup (Div.1) and RAF Fighter Command during National Service.
He moved to Dorset in 1969 and played singles and doubles for the County. Eric was Men's Captain, County singles (1973) and doubles champion twice (with D. Warman) and played senior County Tennis in all age groups. He was elected LTA Councillor and served from 1982 to 2004 as well as County Secretary from 1984 to 2000. Eric is involved with Samsung Open Tournament and Maureen Connolly Matches played at West Hants Club and is on the board of West Hants Club since 1985.
