Free tennis is returning to your doorstep this June in the second part of the LTA's Great British Tennis Weekend which will offer sport for all the family.
After the huge success of the first weekend, 17th and 18th May, in the series of four events saw hundreds of families taking part in fantastic and free tennis activities, spirits are high going into the second stage. With top international tennis coming to Britain in June and July at the Wimbledon Championships , the Aegon Championships, the Aegon Classic and the Aegon International, the public will no doubt be consumed with tennis fever.
Victoria Avenue Tennis Club and Southbourne Tennis Club are offering a range of activities such as; Cardio Tennis, family tennis, Mini-Tennis, junior tennis, disability tennis, Tennis Xpress and free play sessions.
These events will be on the first of four weekends over the summer and will take place on Saturday 21st June for all ages and abilities.
Southbourne Tennis Club is active on the Saturday with mini-tennis, Tennis Xpress, free play and disability tennis running from 9am to 4pm.
Victoria Avenue Tennis Club is hosting its event from 10:30am to 12pm which will include adult coaching and Free play sessions for the public.
Volunteers and coaches will be on hand to help out and there will be rackets and balls to borrow so all you need is a pair of trainers.
The Great British Tennis Weekend events have an online booking system that members of the public can use to book their place on various sessions and activities for their chosen days and venues.
The third event of the series is just a week later, 28th June and 29th June, on the middle Sunday of the Wimbledon Championships, so there is double the opportunity to get signed on for some brilliant free tennis sessions.
