New Sportivate Deadline & Workshops Announced

Active Dorset has announced three workshops and a new deadline for clubs, coaches, and NGBs to apply for Sportivate funding in Dorset.

Sportivate is a £56 million National Lottery funded London 2012 legacy project that gives young people the chance to discover sport. Sportivate aims to give 11-25 year olds who do not regularly participate in sport the chance to take part in free or subsidised sessions.

Just some of the ways that Sportivate funding can benefit you are:

• Help your sport to engage with non and semi sporty young people in Dorset
• Help your clubs and coaches to deliver your Whole Sport Plan in Dorset
• Help clubs and coaches with coaching costs, equipment, training, facility hire and lots more

The next deadline for applications will be 15th January 2014 and Active Dorset will be running free to attend Sportivate Workshops in December 2013 where you can find out more. It is essential to book a place on the workshop as there are limited spaces!

Monday 2nd December, 6pm, Gillingham, Riversmeet Gillingham Leisure Centre

Tuesday 3rd December, 6pm, Wimborne, Community Learning & Resource Centre

Wednesday 4th December, 6pm, Bridport, Bridport Leisure Centre
