Sunderland University organised a fantastic touchtennis event last weekend where 18 players came together for some doubles and Christmas fun!
The fun Christmas theme was a perfect fit with touchtennis and fun was had by all, though of course there was still a lot of competitive spirit between the teams! Matt Wigham, University Tennis Coordinator for Sunderland Uni, set the event up. 8 teams battled it out in a timed tennis round robin format. It was very close, but eventually Dave Peddie (pictured left) and Liam Grant (right) prevailed with an overall score of 118. Josh and Ravi came a close second with 109 points, and there were 3 teams tied for 3rd place.
Everyone had fun while the Christmas soundtrack played and Matt hopes to run a second event in the new year.
