Rosie Pybus and Barbara Borwell were recognised at the Northern Echo Local Hero Awards at Hardwick Hall in Sedgefield.

Tees Valley saw its first ever touchtennis fun adult competition Sunday December 9 at Durham University Queens Campus Sports Centre. 

The National Finals in August 2013 return to Wimbledon after the Olympic Games in 2012 was held on the Championship grass courts where we all saw Andy Murray achieve outstanding success winning gold in singles and silver with Laura Robson in the mixed doubles.

Tennis World duly recaptured the Men's North East Super League crown once again in 2012 winning the league for the fourth time in six seasons.

Sunderland University organised a fantastic touchtennis event last weekend where 18 players came together for some doubles and Christmas fun!

Hearty Lives Younger and Wiser is coming to Hartlepool and the Lawn Tennis Association / Tennis Foundation is helping the programme introduce Cardio Tennis.

Mohamed Abdel-Aziz who is 13 years old reached the semi-finals of a Tennis Europe event last week.
