Durham and Cleveland girls travelled to Sheffield for the U10 County Cup at the weekend.
The team of Eve Murray, Halle Pringle, Georgina Murrish and Paige Thomas-Cattermole competed well against strong opposition.
On the first day Halle and Paige both performed well, losing in close 3rd set match tie-breaks against opponents from Derbyshire and Cheshire. Georgina and Paige also took their doubles match to a 3rd set against Cheshire.
Eve, playing at number 1, had tough matches on both days, but she always played with a great attitude and on the second day did exceptionally well, taking 2 games off Alexis Peat. Paige also had another close 3rd set match tiebreak against Ruby Broadhurst from Yorkshire.
