A good weekend was had by all, in Carlisle at the Chatsworth Tennis club.
6 counties, were put into 2 groups of 3. Isle of Man, South of Scotland, and Durham & Cleveland; and then East of Scotland, Cumbria, and Northumberland.
Our team members were James Paluzzi, Isaac Buchan, Sam Faulder and George Bowen.
We started our weekend against the Isle of Man and after the 3 singles were 3-0 up. We then came up against a strong South of Scotland, and lost all 3 singles, although Isaac having won the 1st set lost the match on a 3rd set tiebreak. In the doubles George had his debut match playing with Sam against the Isle of Man and won, and then James and Isaac played against the South of Scotland and lost, the 2nd set was close.
We finished runner up on Saturday which put us into the Semi-finals for Sunday against Northumberland, winners of the other group. James & Sam’s opponents were too strong, however Isaac put up a very good fight and won his match in a 3rd set tiebreak. In the doubles James and Isaac went to 3 sets but unfortunately lost the tiebreak 10-7. We then played against Cumbria for 3rd 4th place.
A very close match, this time James and George winning their singles and Isaac put up a good fight but losing narrowly 10-6 in the 3rd set match tiebreak. The Cumbrian doubles pair were too strong for our team. With the match standing at 2 all, a match tiebreak was played to decide the match, which we lost.

We finished 4th. A good team effort, and thank you to the parents for their support.
