On Saturday 16th April New Milton Tennis Club were accredited as a Beacon Club recognising them for the way that they have set themselves up in the community as an affordable tennis provider offering quality professional tennis coaching for adults and juniors.
The Club are now looking forward to a summer of new activities including Cardio Tennis and an exciting adult and junior coaching programme.
Andy Trott, Tennis Development Officer for the South West, working with the team from New Milton commented “This is a really exciting venture and a great chance for anyone in the local area to get involved with the sport. The Club are a good example of a real community club, making the sport as accessible as possible by offering free and affordable opportunities.”
Alongside the Open Day fun and games Charlie Woodford from Arnewood School was announced as the winner of the club logo competition, his brilliant design will now be the new logo for the Club, he receives a free membership and a reduction on his first term of coaching at the Club.
James Lilley, Head Coach at New Milton TC, was pleased with the day and commented “It was great to see so many adults, juniors and families attend the Open Day, we look forward to seeing them all again on court soon. We are all really excited about the developments at the Club and look forward to seeing the courts full throughout the summer”.
