An exciting new series of grade 3 & 4 competitions has been announced today, providing the winners and runners-up of each event with prize money.
The Circuit, features competitions at some of Hampshire's best competitive venues and has been put together to encourage the County's top male singles players to compete more frequently.
Simon Johnson, Tennis Development Manager said
"Last year we worked with places to play and introduced monthly grade 5 singles competitions for club standard singles players. Now we've got that up and running we wanted to provide our stronger players with more opportunities, and reward them for doing well. I'm hoping to see our top teenagers out competing alongside our strongest club and county players each month".
The Circuit, will begin at Thorden Tennis Club on Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th February. The first grade 4 event is open to anyone over the age of 15 and the winner will receive £100 with the runner up taking away £75.
The Winchester Open in April will provide even more prize money. The grade 3 event will award £250 to the winner, with the runner-up taking away £190.
Players and places to play will all be receiving further information about The Circuit in the next week. You can enter the first event online here.
