Entries are now open for the Hampshire & Isle of Wight County Championships which is an LTA approved Grade 3 tournament and takes place from Sunday 24th August to Saturday 30th August. The tournament this year will be held at Winchester Fitness & Racquets Club on indoor and outdoor courts with refreshments available daily.

The County Championships take place across all counties in Great Britain during the last week of August to provide competitive opportunities for mini, junior and adult players and the opportunity to earn Grade 3 ranking points. They are a festival of tennis and anyone can enter whether you consider yourself to be a club, park, school or county player there is something for everyone. These tournaments will offer singles and doubles matches plus some great fun and social events. In Hampshire & IOW we will be running a BBQ on Finals Day.

“We are all eagerly looking forward to the 2014 County Championships at the end of August; these tournaments are a great opportunity for adults and juniors of all standards to compete locally. Last year was a great success with nearly 7000 players competing across Great Britain and in Hampshire & IOW. I would like to encourage players to enter this year tournament now via the LTA website as the tournament is the ultimate finale to the summer holidays and great fun for all”
