This year’s 10 & Under County Cup was a huge success with the team winning their Regional Qualifier in Bromley and coming fifth in the National Finals in Bolton, only losing to the eventual winners (Yorkshire) in an epic match which could have gone either way!
The team consisted of 3 great players who all fought hard and worked brilliantly together as a team. Ryan Golesworthy ended up being undefeated in his singles throughout both events, which is surely a record! Ryan played some very smart tennis and was a great support to his teammates. Cameron Clarke had some very tricky matches, and he managed a great comeback in one of his matches and played some courageous and aggressive tennis throughout with some awesome doubles, beating nationally recognised players along the way. And last but definitely not least, Outek Dinapala had some tough opponents but managed to fight hard for his team and win half of his matches, playing top level National players, Outek has only been competing for 18 months and managed to hold his own, and beat these players! If it wasn't for the unfortunate draw of playing the eventual champions in the first round we were on track for coming second, next year were going for first!
