On Sunday 2nd June we held a Fundraising Day at JEM Tennis to raise funds for disability tennis wheelchairs and to go towards a disability tennis programme.
It was a lovely sunny day with lots of members attending. We had a variety of stalls and entertainment including a BBQ, Pimms, cakes, tombola and a nearly new clothing sale.
David Gardner came down and ran a taster session and we had 4 extra wheelchairs for people to try. Richard Libby put on a Teddy Tennis session for the smaller children and everyone was able to have a hit and enjoy themselves. We will carry on the fundraising over the summer and so far have had lots of interest and pledges.
