The LTA today announced the launch of an exciting new tennis programme within Petersfield.
In conjunction with Don Perrin Tennis and Petersfield Town Council local adults and juniors will be able to benefit from coaching and competitive opportunities this summer.
Simon Johnson, Tennis Development Manager for the LTA said
“We’re delighted to be working with the Town Council and Don Perrin Tennis to utilise the park courts within Petersfield. Our aim is to grow participation within tennis, regardless of age and ability and hope that local people will come down to the Avenue Pavilion courts to support the growth of tennis locally. The programme will also give money back to the Town Council to help them continue to provide free and affordable tennis on great facilities”.
The new tennis programme will provide coaching within local schools throughout March and April free of charge and offer local juniors and adults the chance to come along for structured and quality coaching each Saturday.
The programme begins on Saturday 30th April with an action-packed open day between 2 – 4pm with lots of games, prizes and coaching on the four courts at the Avenue Pavilion. It will be an opportunity to meet the Don Perrin coaching team and find out more.
The Don Perrin Tennis team are also offering the first twenty adults and juniors who commit to the new Saturday coaching free t-shirts.
