Report from Alton Tennis Club:
Our courts were full to overflowing last Saturday with members, visitors and children enjoying the chance to try out our new courts, clubhouse and grounds.
The weather was fairly kind to us and so lots of adults and children took advantage of the free introductory coaching sessions. Sport England were thanked for their court resurfacing grant by club member and town councillor Matthew Bayliss who urged everyone present to spread the word about what the club now has to offer.
In the new clubhouse members had shown their baking skills by providing a delicious cream tea. It was a very enjoyable day so a big thanks to all the members who helped to make it such a success.
