Lymington Continues To Grow Cardio Tennis

Following on from the success of last year’s Girls Cardio Breakfast Club at Priestlands School ran by Lymington Tennis Club the new academic year has seen the introduction of a Boys club.

The 45 minute session on a Tuesday morning before registration is ran by qualified cardio coach Adam Falla with assistance from a tennis leader associated with Lymington Tennis. The cardio session is followed by a healthy breakfast provide by the school for free to encourage not just an active lifestyle but also a ranging and balanced diet.

Over 20 boys attend the session which takes place in the school sports hall and all the boys have given the session outstanding feedback. One pupil said “It is brilliant. Getting up earlier is difficult but it is worth it because the sessions are so fun and great for our fitness!” Head of PE at Priestlands Justin Whitbread said “The sessions are so diverse from normal tennis. Most of the boys are complete beginners but it has no effect on their enjoyment. I would recommend cardio tennis to anyone”

The success of the Breakfast Club has led to a pupil run session afterschool with Lymington Tennis continuing to encourage tennis in the local community.
